Pursuant to the Copyright Act, all materials provided by the websites of the Ministry of Environment are copyright protected. Users should abide by the copyright protection policies as follows.

  1. ① Under the Article 24.2 of the Copyright Act, the user can freely use any works for which the Ministry of Environment holds author’s property right in whole without obtaining permission.
    However, the works that can be freely used are disclosed with ‘Korea Open Government License (Gonggongnuri, KOGL) Type 1Open Mark Gonggongnuri, KOGL’ attached, so please check whether KOGL Type 1 is applied to the work before freely using it. For free use of the work, the source of the work should be specifically indicated.
  2. ② This website also provides materials that the Ministry of Environment does not hold copyright in whole. There are many other materials provided for free by individuals, institutions and organizations that wish to join environmental conservation activities with respect to and affection for environment. Thus, anyone who wants to freely use those materials should obtain permission from such copyright holders.
    Please note that any person who intends to use materials without KOGL attached should have prior consultation with the person in charge before using them.
  3. ③ When setting up a link to any materials of this website on other web-pages, please set a link to the Internet Copyright Policy as well to prevent the user from infringing this Internet Copyright Policy.
  4. ④ In case of materials, provided by this website, for which the Ministry of Environment does not hold copyright in whole or share copyright with other copyright holders, it is prohibited to, modify, reproduce, distribute or amend them, and any person who violates this prohibition may be subject to legal punishment. The Ministry of Environment will make constant efforts to help the public safely utilize environmental information.
